Volunteering

I have 8 years experience of volunteering. Starting when I was 16 years of age as a Youth worker at Buzz youth group in Sandbach and Crewe. I have always wanted to volunteer as my mum did it through most of her life and therefore the passion was passed onto me. I have worked with many charities who are named on the associates page.

During my time at the University of Chester I spent the three years working closely with the volunteering department which led me to doing many pitches in front of panels and winning a valedictory award for contribution to community. Also my Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus award as well as becoming a finalist twice for the Charities choice award and then winning the first ever Student of the Year award before graduating. I also completed my Chester difference award. Without the help and support of the volunteering team I wouldn't have had the skills or courage to do what I have done. I have left university with many new skills, talents, the confidence to do speeches and motivational talks.
